Photopolymer restoration of a broken tooth

The patient E.D. visited the Clinic asking for an aesthetic restoration of her fractured front tooth. The trauma took place a week ago. As the fracture was not large and involved mainly the tooth enamel, it was not a problem to postpone the treatment after the accident. When the fracture affects a larger area, it is good to repair it as soon as possible. The challenge in the restoration process was the presence of white spots on the patient’s teeth. We used a white modifier of the composite to simulate the white colouring of the teeth. During the procedure, no anesthetic had to be used due to the small fracture and because working with photopolymer does not require drilling but only restoration of the missing fragments. After 50 minutes, the patient had her tooth restored and was happy again.
